SupermanPerhaps in an effort to create publicity that does NOT focus on either the hiring of Brandon Routh or the lad's equipment, Superman Returns director Bryan Singer has hired Kevin Burns to make a documentary about the Superman franchise. Singer hopes that Burns' project, which already has the rather grand title Look Up in the Sky: The Amazing Story of Superman, will actually get a theatrical release, presumably before Superman Returns comes out next June. Later, the film will be released on DVD, either with Singer's film or on its own (or, you know, in like six different special editions).

In addition to the theatrical and DVD releases, Singer plans to show a version of Burns' work on television, complete with an exclusive clip from Superman Returns. Not surprisingly, the televised showing will be on The WB, and will take place during the promotional period for Singer's film.
