I got a kick out of the Star Wars animated GIF that Martha posted about in October. FoldsFive has created and published more of these movies-as-GIFs for us to enjoy: The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom, and Ghostbusters. I'm glad they're branching out a little from the Lucas oeuvre but hope they'll soon break away from Eighties blockbusters. Imagine the possibilities: wouldn't you love a short animated GIF that compresses Last Tango in Paris down to its essential scenes? Maybe Breakfast at Tiffany's, or The Magnificent Seven? Or if Quentin Tarantino doesn't have time to distill the Kill Bill movies down into one shorter film, perhaps an animated GIF could fill that niche. I haven't even mentioned the movies that might actually improve in this format.
