Showtime has just placed another 13 episode order for its own Tales From The Crypt-style series, Masters Of Horror. The terror-ific anthology, which features one new one-hour film per week directed by genre notables such as Dario Argento, Tobe Hooper and Don Coscarelli, will bring the show back this fall. No directors are attached yet, but creator and horror maven Mick Garris will again produce.

Anyone have a favorite? I really dug Joe Dante's gimmicky Homecoming, about the dead soldiers who came back as zombies (to vote the President out of office), and John Carpenter's Cigarette Burns, about the search for a legendary film that caused its viewers homicidal rage (and Udo Kier and unspeakable self-mutilation).
