So, it looks as if the whole Gary Oldman Not Sirius Black?!kerfuffle was much ado about nothing. Whew. Despite the fact that the stink arose from Oldman's own manager's words, the film's producer insists that they have every intention of including the man in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. Because the shoot ("as is always the case," according to the producer) began with "the parts that are most pressing" (feel slighted, Gary?), the scenes involving Black won't actually be filmed for ages. Apparently the new trend in casting - at least based on the evidence of this film and Casino Royale - is to not actually sign a contract with anyone until seconds before their scenes are due to be shot. Because, really, what's the point of having a settled cast going into a shoot? Please. That's so 2005.
