• Cake - Poor, pretty Heather Graham. First, her heavily-promoted sitcom Emily's Reasons Why Not was canceled after its first episode (a dubious new record) and now, this rather toothless romantic comedy adds insult to injury. The Boogie Nights star plays a free-spirited, commitment-phobic travel writer who finds herself in charge of her ailing father's wedding magazine, where she finds herself torn between two lovers (David Sutcliffe and Taye Diggs). I am woman, hear me snore!
  • Emmanuel's Gift - Oprah Winfrey narrates this documentary about a ballsy disabled Ghanan man who takes his message - by bicycle - to the 20 million people of his African nation (10% of whom are also disabled). Not having footage of his 400-mile trek hurts, as does not digging very deeply into the socio-political timbre that makes this guy's story so tragic, but it is nonetheless inspiring.
  • The Frisco Kid - This long unavailable 1979 Western comedy starring Gene Wilder as a rabbinical student on his way to San Francisco has always lived in the shadow of Blazing Saddles, and rightfully so. It is pretty scattershot, though Harrison Ford fans will thrill to see the Firewall actor in a non-Star Wars role before he gave up smiling.
