Though we've known for months that Saw III was inevitable, it wasn't until yesterday that the details began to be filled in. According to the giddy suits at Lionsgate (who have been eating off of Saw for years now), the movie will be released just before Halloween this year, which will hopefully give merchandisers enough time to get some Jigsaw costumes into stores. Apart from producer Gregg Hoffman who died suddenly last year, pretty much the entire team from the first two films is on board for installment three, including Darren Lynn Bousman, who directed Saw II and will be taking the helm here as well, and writer/creators Leigh Whannell and James Wan.

According to JoBlo, the first two films made a cool $250 million worldwide - at that rate of return, we're going to have a Saw coming out every year until we're all dead.
