David Poland -- long-time internet film journalist -- announced this week at his website, The Hot Button, that his daily column will be moving to a three-times-a-week schedule. Poland's argument is that, well, "More more more more more is less." Bear in mind, it's not like Poland's heading off to the swimmin' hole to nap in the shade of the willow tree -- he's maintaining his stewardship of Movie City News, as well as his own The Hot Blog. Poland's been a longtime contender for the David Hudson I-Don't-Know-How-He-Does-It Award for Prolific Internet Film Journalism ... so the question isn't if Poland's slack, but if he's smart: Does constant output dilute the impact of the work? In an always-on world of movie journalism, does constant chatter turn into background noise?
