Regular readers will remember yours truly is a die-hard Fantastic Four  fan. As far as I'm concerned, it wasn't hyperbole when Stan and Jack declared it The World's Greatest Comic Magazine. Because of their long and historic ... er ... history, the Four are among the most iconic figures in the Marvelverse -- and if recent word from Jessica Alba is to be believed, a great piece of that iconography may well make an appearance in the Fantastic Four film sequel. In the context of answering those who did not like the original flick (and let's be fair, for True Believers there was a lot to not like), Alba discussed the changes being made to the franchise for the second film. According to Alba, "It's gonna be an amped-up version, this next one. It's gonna be faster, and it's gonna be a more intense story line that kind of references the comic a bit more." Alba also hinted at an prospect for FF fans, saying "Maybe [we'll have] the Fantastic Car, which I'm excited about."

You aren't the only one excited about that, Jessica. I'm going to go ahead and presume you did said the Fantasticar, and whatever schlub was transcribing her comments stuck in the space between the words. It seems as though everything I hear about the Fantastic sequel is good news -- although takes very little to make me excited for this sort of film. I dearly hope the sequel is everything I wanted the first one to be; but we all know I'm going to enjoy it on some level regardless.
