Poor James Franco. He starred in one of the greatest TV series of all time, and was widely praised for his James Dean impression. And then what? Eh. A part in Spider-Man 2, and starring roles in several very bad movies, in which he was also fairly bad. I mean, what happened to this guy? I swear there's talent in there somewhere! Plus, he's got that whole soulful, pretty thing going on, so audiences should be flocking to see him. It's a mystery, I tell you.

Perhaps to get away from the pressure of the whole "blockbuster" thing, Franco's now going back to indies, with a movie called Camille. Though there are precious few details available about the project at this point, it's described as a "mythical love story," in which Franco and Sienna Miller (who also could use some help), well, fall in love. She might even die at some point, which doesn't stop their passion. Sounds sort of like Tristan and Isolde -- that went really well for James.

The film will mark the directorial debut of Gregory Mackenzie, and if it's any good at all, both Franco and Miller will be forever in his debt for helping them remember how not to suck.
