It appears that moviegoers don't hate Tom Cruise as much as they claim. In its second week of release, Cruise's adrenalized actioner 'Mission: Impossible III' put the smackdown on Wolfgang Petersen's newly released 'Poseidon.' 'M:i:III' dropped 49 percent from the previous weekend's gross to $24.5 million, while 'Poseidon' was anything but drowning in the cash with a $20.3 million haul. Kind of nice to see that good movies can still come out on top, even when the star's approval rating is less than George Bush's. OK, I know it's coming. Let the Cruise hating begin.
