• June Allyson(1917-2006) - Actress (pictured) known for girl-next-door and "perfect wife" characters in such films as The Glenn Miller Story, The Three Musketeers (the Gene Kelly/Lana Turner one), Little Women (the Liz Taylor/Janet Leigh one), and Executive Suite. She died July 8 in Ojai, California, of pulmonary respiratory failure and acute bronchitis.

  • Ana Mariá Campoy(1925-2006) - Colombian actress who starred in the films Conjugal Pleasures, The Strange Case of the Man and the Beast, Five Face of Woman and others. She died July 8 of pneumonia, in Buenos Aires.
  • Dean Cohen(1939-2006) - Actor, professor and film critic who appeared in the 1964 film The Cool World. He reviewed movies for Playgirl, Los Angeles Free Press, Stars and Stripes and his own radio show On Film, which ran for nearly twenty years on KPFK Pacifica radio. He also served as Secretary, Vice President and two terms as President of the Los Angeles Film Critics and used to teach film and English at San Bernardino Valley College. He died June 30th of Alzheimer's Disease, in Los Angeles.
