When Erik reported last month that Eric Bana and Natalie Portman were set to star in The Other Boleyn Girl, he mentioned -- and a lot of readers agreed -- that he's never been particularly impressed by Portman, and can't understand why casting directors think she's so great. It just so happens that I feel exactly the same way about the ubiquitous Scarlett Johansson and, what do you know -- she's just joined Portman and Bana in the cast. So, depending your feelings about those two lovely ladies (Really, who doesn't dig Bana?), director Justin Chadwick has either scored himself a fantastic cast or a pair of wildly overrated actresses who will look nice on screen. Hey, maybe it'll be stunningly well-acted, and all of us doubters will be won over! Or something.

In case you've forgotten, the movie will revolve around "two ferociously ambitious sisters, Mary and Anne Boleyn, who were rivals for the bed and heart of King Henry VIII." Sadly for most of the men in the world, however, it's unlikely to feature any girl-on-girl nude mud wrestling.

The Other Boleyn Girl starts shooting this fall in London; it'll hit screens next year.*

*HOLY CRAP. According to the IMDb (which, obviously, could be lying to us), Golden Girl Rue McClanahan will play Lady Jane Rochford in the film. Why is no one talking about this?!
