Okay, there are great film titles and then there are unbelievably awesome film titles. According to Variety, Warner Bros. has picked up the rights to the non-fiction book, A$$hole!: How I Got Rich and Happy by Not Giving a F#@% About You. Um, what? Granted, I can't imagine this title will remain once the film hits theaters -- the MPAA would have a field day. The studio wasted no time in chasing after the book, which Random House division Broadway Books will publish after winning a bid last week. Hey, I don't blame them -- I'd read the book based on the title alone, without knowing anything about it. Because that's the kind of guy I am.
Written by Martin Kihn, A$$hole! is based on the author's own experience while working for an ad agency. When his boss told him he would never move up in the industry because he was too nice, Kihn decided to take acting and boxing classes in an attempt to learn how to be, well, an a**hole. Kihn says, "It totally worked, at least professionally, and I made more money at work. Personally, it was a disaster." Well, personally, I can't wait to see it.
