When I surfed over to popular Joss Whedon website Whedonesquethis morning, I had the very odd sensation of realizing it had been quite some time since I last wrote about the man. This is unusual -- as regular readers well know -- because the man is typically a non-stop force of geekdom. I highly admire the guy for his seemingly endless energy and creativity. He's been long tied up with writing the script for Wonder Woman, a movie he is expected to direct for Warner Bros. He has admitted to finding the writing process for this film more difficult than most tasks he attempts, which is probably why we can go entire weeks at a time without a Whedon update these days, but he dropped by the Whedonesque boards just recently to fill us all in.

Whedon has now finished yet another draft of the Wonder Woman script and passed it on to the powers above him. In his words: "The Brothers Warner HAVE read Wondy Gal, and are arranging a meeting to tell me that it is a perfect crystalline gem and I must not change a word, nay, not a syllable. I'm certain that's how it will go." As soon as Whedon and Warner Bros. can agree on a script, real action can get moving on the film. Now, I'm not personally a big W.W. fan, but I look forward to it anyway, because I can only imagine the amount of geek news there will be to write about once it gets rolling. Joss Whedon is like gold to a geek blogger, let me tell you.
