If you love film, writing and a paycheck, then Cinematical wants to hear from you. We're currently looking to hire a few more writers to hop onboard and join our diverse, fun-loving staff. However, in order to slide in alongside folks like myself, Scott Weinberg and that dude who writes about comic books (I think his name is Mark Beall), you're going to have to impress us. Below is a list of stuff we need from you. Upon completion (and here's the most important part), please email all applications to Kim AT cinematical DOT com. DO NOT provide this information inside the comments section, as no one will read it. Got it? Good.
Please provide the following:
- Location (LA or NYC, or at a least location in or near a fairly major city, is a plus, but it's not required if your writing rocks our world)
- A link to your personal blog (if you have one - does not have to be a film blog specifically)
- Two short film-related news posts (approx. 250 words per)
- One film review of your choice, positive or negative (approx. 500 words)
Before submitting, keep in mind you MUST be able to contribute to the site on a daily basis (none of this twice a month junk) and you must have a passion for film. We're looking for strong writers with unique and interesting voices, who "get" what blogging is all about. If this sounds appealing and you think you have what it takes, please forward all responses to Kim AT cinematical DOT com with the subject line "Cinematical Application." If you try to be all tricksy with your subject line to catch our attention, your app will not get filtered to the right folder, and all your efforts will be in vain. So get those apps in, and good luck!
