This whole Harry Potterfranchise has been taking a long time. It's hard to believe that it has been six years since Daniel Radcliffe burst onto the scene as Harry at the tender age of 12. On July 23, he will turn 18, and it is no wonder that his increasing age has had people buzzing about whether he would continue the franchise. By the time it is over and done with, he will have spent over 10 years and most of his life with this role. While he has stated that he wants to see it to the end, anything could happen. However, it seems that we can stop worrying. Radcliffe isn't going anywhere.

According to a Radcliffe website, his publicists have confirmed that he is not only interested, but has signed on for the last two Potter films. In September, he will begin filming Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, and some time after that comes out, he will head back for production on the final film -- Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. If the young actor has had any qualms about reprising the role, I'm sure that the success of Equus quashed them. The boy smokes, strips, acts his heart out in the dark play, and he's got rave reviews -- which is a good sign that he'll have a career post-Hogwarts. As for the others, we'll see.
