Earlier this week, I sat down for a roundtable interview with Jonah Hill, Michael Cera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse (McLovin!!); all of whom are starring in the new hilarious comedy Superbad. How funny is Superbad? Well let's just say I was laughing so hard during our interview, tears were streaming down my face. It was embarrassing. And it was the freaking roundtable interview! Now imagine how funny the movie is. Anyway, toward the end of our interview, I asked the boys about the viral marketing for the film, and how much they were involved in brainstorming ways to get the word out there. Toward the end of their answer (which you'll be able to read next week in its entirety), Jonah said they had a really cool viral piece planned to hit within the next couple of days. He wouldn't say what it was, but I have a feeling it arrived this morning.
Above you'll find a hilarious interview; set up to look like your basic TV interview -- except Hot Fuzz director Edgar Wright is playing "the guy who asks the questions," while Jonah Hill and Michael Cera throw out answers. It is so obnoxious, and so hilarious, you simply need to stop what you're doing and watch this right now. Be aware that there is some mild cursing (F-Bombs, and the like), so either slap those headphones on or keep the volume down low. My favorite question of Edgar's went to Jonah: "What will you do when your career is over ... in a couple of months?" Oh man, I'm laughing while I'm typing this -- which means it's time for me to watch it again. Superbad hits theaters on August 17; expect Cinematical to pimp the hell out of this thing in the days leading up to its release. Best teen sex comedy in years.
