Sissy Spacek brings the new drama.

You hear it all the time: Actors say they have to make a big Hollywood flick in order to indulge their love for indie filmmaking, and that seems like the case with Sissy Spacek's latest.

The once pigs' blood-soaked, legendary star of 'Carrie' appears in the low-budget drama 'Lake City' this week and the big-budget comedy 'Four Christmases' next week.

In 'Lake City,' she's mother to Troy Garity (real-life son of Jane Fonda), who flees from a drug dealer to his rural childhood home. In a bit of inspired casting, crooner Dave Matthews crashes into them as a baddie on the hunt.

'Lake City' opens in limited engagement November 21.
