Prior to this year's Superbowl, a lot was said about the special 3D movie promo for Dreamworks' Monsters vs. Aliens. Not only was it making TV history, but it was the only commercial I ever planned ahead to watch -- going so far as to track down special glasses to wear while it was on my television. But was it worth it? The two 3D commercials aired right at the end of the second quarter, and the group at my apartment really enjoyed the experience, even if we weren't exactly dealing with new technology.

Was the 3D unbelievably awesome? No. But for folks who weren't even expecting that sort of interactive experience during the big game, they seemed to really like it. It was fast food 3D; quick, simple, marketed to the masses. They weren't out to blow any minds -- just get people used to 3D again by bringing it into their most personal spaces. As someone who's followed this latest burst of 3D-speak, of course I wanted a little more ... everything -- but the meal we were served was fun for the moment.

Question: How was it for you and the people in your home? Did everyone dig it? Hate it? Answer our poll below, then continue the conversation in the comments section. (Oh, and if you missed them, check out the two 3D spots after the jump.)
