[Welcome to the Sci-Fi Lunch Break, where (mostly) every day we'll be supplying you with a cool bit of audio/visual goodness to break up the monotony of the work day. You bring the turkey on rye, we'll bring you something out of this world to watch while you eat it.]
Stormtroopers are the greatest gift sci-fi (okay, science fantasy) ever gave comedy. Their uniformly vacant stares and general uselessness is a blank slate upon which any number of gags can take form, be it a funny exchange in Kevin Smith's Clerks or photographs of Stormtroopers riding squirrels. But my favorite 'stormtroopers on their day off' gag may just be this new original video from College Humor.
Three of everyone's favorite white-plastic clad clones are sitting in a bar reflecting on the destruction of the Death Star, their equivalent of 9/11. Don't worry, despite what you might assume considering where the video originates from, it's not offensive or disrespectful to the victims of 9/11. Instead, this is actually a very clever, occasionally laugh-out-loud dissection of the varying mindsets that emerged in the aftermath of that ill-fated day that just happens to be set to the backdrop of the Death Star.
