Hey, I'm all for a movie geek-themed wedding. Heck, at my own wedding (which was held on November 4th, 2005) I had my band play "Earth Angel" and "Johnny B. Goode" back-to-back at midnight to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the day Marty McFly traveled back in time to in Back to the Future (November 5th, 1955). So, yeah, I get it ... or else I wouldn't be doing what I do for a living. But then you get those folks who take it a little too far. Take, for example, Star Wars fans Chris and Julie, who, for their wedding, had a special cake made up that recreated the scene in Empire Strikes Back where Luke Skywalker is shoved inside a dead Tauntaun in order to keep warm.

The cake itself looks pretty brilliant, right down to the white, detailed guts spilling out from the side of the dead Tauntaun, and it was created by Courtney Clark from Cake Nouveau (who apparently appeared on some TLC show called Ultimate Cake-Off). That said, not sure I'd want my wedding guests feasting on a cake that resembles a dead animal with a dude stuck inside its stomach. Of all the classic Star Wars scenes that would've made great wedding cakes, this one kinda registers on the Officially Nasty scale if you ask me.

Check out more images below and let us know what you think. Cool cake, yes. Cool cake for a wedding? Um, not to much.
