Today is Captain Cook's birthday. Happy birthday, James! You don't look a day over 250.

Captain Cook was the first to map Newfoundland. I had to rejoice on behalf of my country! What better way to do so than to journey around the infamous corner of Hollywood and Highland in order to find another captain, Jack Sparrow (who you know from 'Pirates of the Caribbean'). Surely he'd want to celebrate with me. Hollywood loves heroes! Let me tell you, navigating the madness that is Hollywood and Highland is certainly more difficult than traversing the globe in a rickety ship.

Hollywood and Highland is home to all things Hollywood; The Grauman's Chinese Theatre (the site of many movie premieres), The Kodak Theater (Academy Awards' ground zero), 'Jimmy Kimmel Live!', Madame Tussauds Hollywood wax museum, and The Hollywood Walk of Fame, which runs right through the neighbourhood. Further, people in costumes stand around on the sidewalk hoping for cash tips if you take your picture with them. It's so flashy it makes Disneyland seem real. I knew Jack would be hanging out here, and I had to find him.
