Capcom debuted the final trailer for their latest Resident Evil title this morning, the Wii-only Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles. The game, which is a sequel to Resident Evil: The Umbrella Chronicles, is another on-rails shooter and ties into the storyline of the classic Resident Evil 2.

Familiar characters Leon Kennedy and Claire Redfield make their return in this new outing, which can be played solo (with the assistance of a computer-controlled partner) or cooperatively. Capcom promises an immersive survival horror experience with extreme shooting gameplay, interactive pathways, and the ability to see classic locations and situations from a new perspective. Expect the game to take advantage of the Wii-mote's motion sensing capabilities through a newly implemented evading system.

Resident Evil: The Darkside Chronicles hits the streets on November 17th. Mature titles on the Wii have been a tough sell (particularly on-rails shooters, which are a niche genre in the first place), but if there's a franchise that can break the streak, it's Resident Evil.
