I've been following Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated since I first heard about it earlier this year. The project, which aims to recreate George Romero's classic zombie film by asking artists to reinterpret scenes in a multitude of different kinds of media, appears to be coming along quite nicely. Don't take my word for it, though, check out this new trailer (thanks to Twitch for spreading the word about the new clip).

While it seems at least somewhat unlikely that this project will appeal to the masses (I imagine that the shifts in the mediums chosen by the different artists will be somewhat jarring. Early reports have the film featuring everything from traditional animation to puppets and oil paintings), I still think this is a neat idea and that it'll be interesting to see the movie in a new way that doesn't involve changing the characters, dialogue or other elements of Romero's original film.

Interested in learning more about this project? You can check out Night of the Living Dead: Reanimated's official website for a full breakdown of the film.

Check out the trailer beyond the break.
