Let the frenzy begin. It is almost upon us. The madness is building. There are Twi-tards, Twi-lighters, Twi-fans and 'Twilight' Moms. And, they are all holding their bloodthirsty breath...because...on Friday, 'The Twilight Saga: New Moon' opens its doors to fanatics all around the world.
Here in Los Angeles, 'New Moon' has taken the top spot for what people are talking about. Normally, people in LA spend all day simply chatting about themselves. But, not now. LA is consumed with Rob and Bella. A week and a half ago, a bunch of the bands on the 'New Moon' soundtrack, including Death Cab For Cutie and Sea Wolf, played live at Hollywood and Highland before the cast showed up to greet their fans. It was absolute maniacal fan(g)dom. And, on Monday, fans camped out overnight just hoping to catch a glimpse of the cast at their Tuesday night premiere in Westwood. On the weekend, I was at a coffee shop and my friend's 6-year-old son turned to me and told me that he wants to see the new 'Twilight' movie.
I remember when this delirium began.
