Games involving the undead are everywhere these days, but most of them tend to revolve around the concept of shooting zombies in the head. Polish developer EXOR Studios is looking to add a new wrinkle to that formula with the release of their PC title, Zombie Driver, wherein gamers will still strive to kill hordes of flesh-eating zombies, but will do so with a number of crazily equipped automobiles. Think Sega's Full-Autowith the living dead and you're basically on the right track.
News coming from the developer today says that the game's official release date is now locked in. Gamers who want to take out their road-rage on a never-ending stream of zombies should clear their calendars on December 4th. EXOR plans to release the game in a number of regions as a digital download with prices set to the standards of the individual markets. American gamers will be able to pick up the title for a reasonable $9.95.
Here's a brief description from the press release:
Zombie Driver is an action driving game with a top down perspective and a dynamic helicopter chase camera. Fight your way through the streets of a zombie infested city to save the survivors of a disastrous chemical accident that changed most of the city's population into mindless brain hungry monsters. When the gruesomely mutated zombies become too much to handle, buy a new car or get more guns and upgrades installed. You can earn more money for finishing side quests, making kill combos and searching for hidden prizes.
