In pop culture, ninjas are the deadliest people on earth. But will they kill at the box office?

Well, it looks like we're all about to find out together. No, you don't have to be looking over your shoulder in fear of a shuriken from the shadows; we're talking about the new Warner Bros. release 'Ninja Assassin', which hits theaters this week. Starring Korean pop sensation Rain, 'Ninja Assassin' has a lot more riding on it than just the reputation of Japan's most dangerous killers: the reputations of the Wachowski brothers are on the line as well. Producers Andy and Larry (re-teaming here with 'V for Vendetta' director James McTeigue) are hoping for a big payoff after the critical letdown of their final two 'Matrix' films and the all-around meltdown of their massive big budget flop 'Speed Racer'.
