A look at tonight's sci-fi TV:

scifi scienceSci-Fi Science: Physics of the Impossible - Zachary already gave you a heads-up about Sci-Fi Science, The Science Channel's new show that explores sci-fi concepts in the real world. On tonight's premiere, Dr. Michio Kaku, author of "Physics of the Impossible," explores the ideas behind Stargate's wormholes and teaches you how to construct your very own light saber. (If that last one really works, I'm thinking Comic-Con might be a very dangerous place to visit next year.)(10 p.m with a second episode airing at 10:30 on The Science Channel)

Prophets of Science Fiction - Before watching Dr. Kaku destroy the space-time continuum, switch on this doc about some of our greatest genre storytellers, including Jules Verne and H.G. Wells, and how their ideas and predictions helped change the world. (9 p.m. on The Science Channel)
