With the loss of movie listings in the daily newspaper (and the loss of the daily newspaper -- mostly), people are turning to the Internet to find date and time information for their favorite flicks. Though, as usual, it may be somewhat difficult to transverse all the Internet has to offer in order to find the right destination. To assist you, here are a few sites that will get you the information you need.
Moviefone (www.moviefone.com) -- Born as an interactive telephone service voiced by Russ Leatherman (known as Mr. Moviefone), Moviefone is now a service of AOL. In addition to reporting showtimes, the online Moviefone provides movie news as well as reviews and trailers for current and upcoming films. Searches for listings can be done by the movie title, actor or theater name, or by entering your zip code. The zip code search will provide movie times on all theaters, big or small, within a 25 mile radius (which can be changed to an unlimited range if needed). Each theater listing provides directions, information links for the movies and their actors, and if online ticketing is available. Casual users of the service are encouraged to register with Moviefone for extra promotions and news.
