Over the past few weeks, the different studios have been revealing their 2010 slates, complete with introductory images and details about the plot, cast and crew. We haven't been covering too many of them because a lot of 2010 films have already released images, as well as trailers. But Universal has a nice crop of flicks that haven't yet managed to sneak into our grimy little geeked-out hands, and so it was pretty cool to finally see some decent imagery for films like Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, MacGruber, Your Highness and Little Fockers.
The image above is some crazy shot from Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, a film I feel needs the most support because it's a crazy badass risky flick on Universal's part, and because the property that it's based on might not be as well known in the United States as it is in Canada. I have no idea how moviegoers will react to this film, but I do know that director Edgar Wright worked his ass off shooting this rockin' action-packed teen angsty adventure flick, and I urge you all to read up on Pilgrim and prepare yourselves for what's sure to be one of the year's most talked-about films.
The other films featured in this little 2010 intro include MacGruber (based on the SNL skit), which from what I hear is actually turning out to be one crazy R-rated mofo of a movie. Your Highness is also in there, which is that medieval pot comedy from David Gordon Green, and starring Natalie Portman, James Franco, Danny McBride and Zooey Deschanel. Meanwhile, Little Fockers is the third installment in that already very successful franchise.
