AvatarA 42-year-old Taiwanese man from the city of Hsinchu has died after watching the box-office smash hit 'Avatar' in its 3D version due to a stroke and brain hemorrhaging thought by doctors to have been brought on by his reaction to the film.

Mr Kuo, who had hypertension and a history of high blood pressure, reported feeling unwell in the cinema and was taken to hospital where he arrived in an unconscious state and died eleven days later.

According to Pen Ching-Chan, the emergency room doctor at the Nan Men General Hospital where Mr Kuo was treated, it was "likely that the over-excitement from watching the movie triggered his symptoms."
