Didn't know that Capcom was making a live-action Dead Rising movie, did you? Well, neither did I, to be honest, but they are and, surprise, it already has a trailer!

The film, fully titled Shibyou Osen Dead Rising (translated in English as Death Disease Contamination Dead Rising), looks to have been made entirely in-house by Capcom Japan with scripting duties going to the game's writer Makoto Ikehara while the directors chair was filled by game producer Keiji Inafune. But before you get your hopes too high, it's my duty to warn you that this was clearly never intended for the big screen; it'll debut on the Xbox 360 later this year before making its way online.

That little tidbit aside, it still looks like the special kind of fun one can only find from insane Japanese horror movies. The (non-English) trailer kicks off with a simple brothers-on-the-run story, but fret not as it soon starts exploding heads left and right before culminating in a zombie-destroying wheelchair that makes the spikey ride from A Nightmare on Elm Street: Dream Warriors look like a kids toy.
