You don't have to be Sherlock Holmes to recognize a box office goldmine when you see one -- but it probably helps.

According to 'Sherlock Holmes' super-producer Joel Silver, after the gentleman detective took the box office by storm this winter, Warner Bros. is eagerly looking to fast-track the sequel with director Guy Ritchie back at the helm. This is bad news for fans of the DC Comics character 'Lobo,' whose origin story Ritchie planned to film next.

Speaking exclusively to Hero Complex, Silver (who is producing both 'Holmes' and 'Lobo') revealed that it is unlikely that Ritchie will now be involved in the comic book adaptation. "I don't think he's going to do it now," he said. "The studio wants us and Guy to focus on making another 'Sherlock Holmes.' So I think we're going to be doing that... We're trying to see if we can do something quickly with another 'Sherlock Holmes' movie. We have some ideas and some good story points."
