Yes, according to Variety, producers Ralph Winter and Terry Botwick have landed the film rights to Dean R. Koontz's take on the horror classic 'Frankenstein,' which is set in modern-day New Orleans. Winter, who as an executive at Fox oversaw the 'X-Men' and 'Fantastic Four' franchises, likewise hopes to turn Koontz's series of novels into an ongoing series, telling Variety that "these books have enough twists and turns to keep the public coming back to the theaters for many years to come."
