We lost some big genre names late last year, and one of the biggest was Paul Naschy. The Wolfman of Spain passed away back on December 1st after a lengthy bout with cancer. The actor (whose real name was Jacinto Molina) was an icon of the golden era of Euro-horror and beloved by cult cinema fans the world over.
According to Dread Central, WildSideCinema.com owner Brian Harris has joined forces with several other Naschy-philes to create a magazine paying tribute to the late actor's career. The project is open to submissions with a tentative deadline of February 25th--so if you've ever wanted to see your writing or artwork in print, this could be your opportunity. The project is a labor of love, so there's no pay--but if your work is selected for inclusion you'll receive credit and be listed on a reference page (along with your website) so readers can check out more of your work.
According to Harris, the magazine will be a print-on-demand project through Lulu's publishing service. Interested parties should contact Brian Harris directly through WildSideCinema for more details.
