John KrasinskiIs 'Office' star John Krasinski about to become the next great superhero? Maybe -- but he's going to have to get in line first.

According to the Hollywood Reporter's Heat Vision blog, Krasinski is one of many young actors who will screen test for the role of Steve Rogers/Captain America in Joe Johnston's upcoming movie adaptation of the popular comic book.

Also on the list to test for the role of the young weakling-turned-World War II hero are Michael Cassidy of 'Smallville' and 'The OC' fame, Patrick Flueger, known for his role in 'The 4400,' 'Friday Night Lights' star Scott Porter and Mike Vogel of 'Cloverfield.'

'Gossip Girl' star Chace Crawford, meanwhile, is reportedly in talks to test, though nothing has been confirmed.
