The Blind SideHere at the Moviefone Oscars Movie Club, we're discussing an Oscar-nominated film every week. This week: 'The Blind Side.'

When the Academy Awards expanded its Best Picture category to 10 nominees, the goal, ostensibly, was to make room for critical and popular favorites like 'The Dark Knight,' which controversially received no Oscar love in 2009.

Without the new rule, 'The Blind Side,' a crowd-pleaser based on the rags-to-riches true story of current Baltimore Ravens left tackle Michael Oher (and adapted from Michael Lewis's book of the same title), would never have made it onto the Best Picture list. But earn a nomination it did -- and though the inspirational sports drama may not be a frontrunner for the big prize, there's a better-than-even chance it'll bring Sandra Bullock her first Oscar ever for her performance as Leigh Anne Tuohy, the woman who adopted Oher as her own son.

Editors Patricia Chui, Kevin Polowy, Andrew Scott and Denise Warner weigh in on their reactions to the movie and whether it deserved its Best Picture nod. What did you think? Watch their discussion and then share your thoughts in the comments below.
