Doodoodoodoo doodiloo doo doo... Although rumors have circled that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and Paul W.S. Anderson were teaming up for a big-screen Spy Hunter with Universal, nothing ever came of it. Now, however, the feature has driven over to Warner Bros. (the game was acquired through bankruptcy court), and Variety reports that the project is once again in the works, with Chad St. John (Sgt. Rock) penning the script. The film will focus on "a highly trained spy hunter whose job it is to eliminate rogue spies when they become liabilities to their governments."
Oh the possibilities. The game has next to no plot, which means the door is open for a million different interpretations and action themes. Nevertheless, as someone repeatedly infuriated by the game when it came out, and how many times I exploded to my death on that damned gravelly shoulder, there are a few essential elements Warner Bros. must include if they dare drive ahead with this project. (Keeping the original game as the inspiration.) Hit the jump for the list and weigh in with your own.
