Can you believe that 3-D television is becoming a reality? I feel like a Jetson or something. And speaking of cartoons, I turned up this delightful 1953 Tex Avery short, "T.V. of Tomorrow".

It's a cheery, retro version of the future of television, which includes innovations that still haven't happened yet, like TV sets with automated turrets to shoot down passing French fighter planes. Say what? I guess it was a different time indeed. I can't see Zenith adding that feature to their next model. Nor will any manufacturer be looking into a revolver that comes out of the front of the set to put a bullet right into the head of anyone that fidgets with your controls.
