I've been following director John Lechago's indie horror flick Bio-Slime for like two years now and I was starting to wonder if it would ever be released. There's still no word on when that might happen, but at least we know the project is alive and kicking. Bloody-Disgusting scored an exclusive first look at the final teaser trailer for the low budget feature--and I'm spreading the slimy joy by sharing it with you all today.
The film, which looks sort of like an indie homage to John Carpenter's The Thing, finds seven people trapped inside a room with only one door and no windows. Their cell phones are dead, no one outside can hear them, and to make matters worse, there's a shape-shifting creature picking them off one by one. Unable to wait out their assailant, the surviving members of the group are forced to confront the monster head on as they fight to survive and return to the outside world.
The new clip, which you can view after the jump, showcases a lot of pleasing practical special effects work. The film looks low budget (because it is...), but I'm still looking forward to checking out the full version. Now let's hope Lechago can get Bio-Slime out on DVD before another two years go by...
