Looks like it's official: Captain America has finally nabbed his girl.

British actress Hayley Atwell was reportedly one of two women vying for the lead female part in Captain America: The First Avenger(new title; it's been switched from The First Avenger: Captain America). Before officially landing the part, E! had reported that it was between Atwell and Alice Eve after Keira Knightley and Emily Blunt were no longer in the running. Atwell is somewhat of an unknown in the States, but that's what makes her such a fun choice. She's got that great, innocent, girl-next-door look mixed with a hint of exotic adventure, which should play well into a WWII-set romance. This girl may be a stranger now, but trust me when I say I'm sure we'll get to know her a lot better ... starting now.
