Like all of the marketing for Inception, Christopher Nolan's upcoming summer blockbuster, this new poster (which you can see in a delightfully massive format over at IMP Awards) tells us nothing about the film's plot or characters. Although details of the story have emerged online, I'm not going to repeat them here. It's pretty obvious that Nolan wants us to know as little as possible going in and when your last film was the still-pretty-great The Dark Knight, you've earned some level of respect as far as I'm concerned.
What we do learn from this poster is that those advertising guys over at Warner Brothers know how to use Photoshop. They know all about the cutting and the pasting and the feathering and it looks like they spent an arduous 23 minutes splicing pictures of Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and other members of the film's absurdly awesome cast onto an image from the trailer. This is a perfect Photoshop job...most people don't know that Ellen Page is a dwarf!
Inception hits theaters July 16.
