Uh oh. It seems that British films have been slightly more reckless and cool-looking than our US counterparts, as a study of recent film releases shows that there's too much smoking going on in our cinematic efforts.

Researchers from Nottingham University have announced that from their findings, which involved studying films released between 1989-2008, they discovered that Brit flicks explicity showed specific tobacco branding and smoking far more than Hollywood movies. This has led to certain doctors calling for the BBFC's rating system to take into account such incidents, and for guilty films to be given a higher age classification.
