Brazil is having a moment. The culture-rich nation is receiving its long-overdue recognition as a major player on the world stage, certainly well-deserving of a spot in the G20 group of industrialized countries. In 'Beyond Ipanema', director Guto Barra asks us to kindly leave our stereotypes at the door; a modern and multicultural nation like Brazil deserves to be free of its postcard image of half-naked people listening to bossa nova on the beach.
