The next round of who-will-really-play-the-superhero roulette apparently concerns the casting of Ant-Man. The size-changing Marvel character is getting his own movie from director Edgar Wright (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) and could also be in other Avengers films, but he's not as big a deal as Captain America or the next Spider-Man, each of whom has also kept the interweb busy with a similar casting carousel. For Ant-Man, the first names coming in as being rumored for the role include Nathan Fillion (Firefly) and Kevin Pennington (90210).

Speculation about the latter began with the actor's Twitter, where he's been giving hints, such as that he's got a three-picture deal with Marvel Studios, he won't be wearing a mask and he'll be playing some kind of S.H.I.E.L.D. agent who may or may not have been one or an Avenger in the comics. He also claimed he'll be at Comic-Con this summer to announce the part officially. So far those clues offer no reason he wouldn't be Ant-Man or even Hawkeye, but Marvelous News heard from an inside source that Pennington is not Hawkeye. And as for Ant-Man, the site reports that Fillion is "pretty much locked to be Henry Pym."
