I did my share of stupid things in High School like most teenagers, but I will never be able to add "Wolf Pack Member" to my list of shenanigans. John Marshal High School in San Antonio, Texas boasts several students who claim to be members of a wolf pack -- aka, a group of teenagers who don tails and spooky contacts, and call themselves family. I'm all for whatever helps you make it through the hellish plight that is teendom, so I can't really rip these kids apart -- but um ...

Back in my hardcore goth days of yore, it wasn't unusual to see kids do wacky things like sharpen their teeth with metal files -- and it still isn't -- along with other vampire-ish stuff, so it's not terribly surprising that these kids want to carve out their own niche. And really, when the wolf pack leader of one school says, "I don't believe anyone is just human. Everyone's got something else mixed in with them. They just have to look inside themselves and find out what it is," is it really that strange? Native American cultures have similar beliefs.

I guess the thing that surprises me about these kids is that they seem to be ok with associating themselves with films like Twi__ (I've been forbidden to utter the word on Horror Squad), which has somewhat coined the term "wolf pack." As a teenager, the last thing I wanted to do was to ally my fashions and whatnot with popular interests. But, like one mom says in the video (check it out after the jump), if this is the worst thing they do then I guess they're lucky!
