The 'Salt' web game 'Day X Exists' debuted its third mission today, and I will be playing it, because I enjoy playing video games in my office cubicle.

For those who may not have heard of 'Day X Exists,' it's been written up in the New York Times as an example of a new trend in movie marketing -- an immersive, multi-week experience designed to connect audiences to the film in a much more involved way than watching a trailer, reading a review, or seeing a billboard. I can attest that it is working, as I have begun seeing Evelyn Salt in my dreams, speaking to my superiors as if I were a CIA Agent, and have generally grown suspicious that everyone around me is plotting to take me down. That's normal, right?

'Salt,' which comes out July 23, stars Angelina Jolie as Evelyn Salt, a CIA agent caught up in a plot to assassinate the president. She claims to be innocent, but can we trust her? We don't know. Perhaps in Mission 3 of this web game, Electronic Dead Drop, we'll learn more about whose side Salt is on. Let's see what more we can learn.
