World Wrestling Entertainment is tag-teaming with director Stephen Herek for 'The Chaperone,' a comedy with WWE star Paul "Triple H" Levesque, Annabeth Gish, Kevin Corrigan and 'Modern Family's' Ariel Winter. According to Variety, the film centers on a getaway driver for a crew of bank robbers who decides to go straight and tries to make amends with his daughter and ex-wife but runs afoul of the bad guys, who go after him while he chaperones a school field trip to a museum. WWE has a heavy movie schedule with nine films ready for release or in production, including the sports drama 'Legendary,' set to be released Sept. 10, the comedy 'Knucklehead,' due Oct. 24, and actioner 'Killing Karma,' due out early next year. Most of the films highlight WWE stars in co-starring or secondary roles. Herek's credits include 'Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure,' 'Mr. Holland's Opus' and 'Rock Star.'
