Strap on your gladius and grab your mechanical owl, because 'Clash of the Titans 2' is taking off on the Hollywood fast track.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures are about to stage their own clash of screenwriting titans as they have hired not one but two writers to begin work on the story for 'Clash of the Titans 2' in hopes that the sequel will be ready for a Spring 2012 release.

Usually, of course, the scripting process involves one writer at a time revising the work of the last writer's draft, but Warner has decided to try to streamline the process by having Dan Mazeau (who is responsible for the upcoming live action take on the classic cartoon 'Jonny Quest') and David Leslie Johnson (author of the last year's horror title 'Orphan') work together on the project.
