As a general rule, I have a personal aversion to the concept of 'guy things' and 'girl things' in our pop culture landscape. But, I have come to accept the fact that I'm one of the few women I know that lovesCaddyshack. I've been watching this movie since I was a kid and as the years have gone by my sense of humor has grown up right along with it (bet you never thought you would see the words grown-up and Caddyshack in the same sentence). Of course, as a kid, the dancing gopher was the height of hilarity, but as I've hit adulthood, I've learned to love Tai's (Chevy Chase) non-sequiturs and Carl (Bill Murray), the demented groundskeeper.

Released in 1980, Caddyshack was the directorial debut of Harold Ramis, and centered on a lovable screw-up working at the local country club for the summer. So I might have been clueless to some of the raunchier parts of the script, the one thing I knew for sure was that I loved the opening song, and that's why today's Summer Scenes (Songs) We Love, is all about the classic 80's number, I'm Alright by Kenny Loggins.
